Zara draws crowds with gym concept range
“Zara is now in the gym and fitness game and it’s the most stunning equipment I’ve ever seen!” That was the verdict of one Instagram influencer, who declared “Fitness girls with good taste RUN TO ZARA”. And so they have, in extraordinary numbers. The Gym Collection Concepts range doesn’t resemble traditional gym gear, nor is it meant to. And it’s working - wellness retail has a new player.

Gymshark just reported its 13th year of growth - in 13 years of trading
📈 There’s no arguing with 13 years of consecutive sales growth in 13 years of operating. That was the news from Gymshark in March: in the year to end of July 2025, the group, which is still run by founder Ben Francis, saw sales jump to £646 million, a record even for Gymshark, up from £607.3 million the previous year. Yet despite this phenomenal performance, indications are that Gymshark isn’t planning on a major roll out of new stores. Will that change?
Gyms and wellbeing operators driving increased appetite for London lettings
The strength of the retail and leisure sectors in London isn’t just down to wellness operators, but they are playing their part. 2025 saw a healthy uptick in requirements from leisure operators - including gyms, health and wellbeing operators - with Colliers recording a 60.1% jump on the previous year.
High street health on a high
📈 Holland and Barrett is on course for £1 billion in revenue by the end of the year. The retailer is on its third consecutive year of double digit revenue growth and showing no signs of slowing down, and it’s physical stores that are still accounting for the bulk of sales. Holland and Barrett is now a serious consideration for any retail-led mixed-use site.
